Whats on Your Work Desk Wednesday!

Morning all! It's What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday again hosted by the fabulous Julia at Stamping Ground and this is what is on my desk today

Now the kids are back at school I am going to finish off a scrapbook page that I am doing for my son's bedroom. We have taken down his posters and are going to put things that are personal to him on there like photographs of days out and friends etc. He has a car theme in his room so I have downloaded some car digi papers from 2 Peas in a Bucket and will use them as backing and mount it all back on the poster frame.

This is a close up of my desk

I received a lovely thank you card from Paula yesterday so that is in the middle of my desk where I can look at it as it makes me smile. Its a lovely card and I am very grateful for her taking the time to make it when she is not fully recovered yet!

The tulips are from my hairdresser as she came round to do our haircuts yesterday. She has been my hairdresser for 10 years and in the early years I used to have to take the kids with me when I needed a haircut, needless to say it was a bit stressful as most of the things I used to bring to amuse them ended up on the floor and  she kindly suggested that she could come to my house if it was easier. Well that was about 5 years ago and she now comes round once a month and we have a glass of wine and some snacks and a good gossip, much better than trying to control the kids at the hairdressers!

My final photo today is of the caterpillars so if you are eating look away now!

My youngest is very excited that they have started to make their cocoon so we will be moving them gently into the butterfly garden very soon. Next week we may have photo's of butterflies after which we will be setting them free!  The only thing I am worried about is what he will be into next, we have done worms already, he seems to be a bit obsessed with earwigs at the moment!

I will make my way round to see what's on your work desks later and see what you have been upto. Have a wonderful week!

I got a big laugh from your PC wallpaper. I'm also impressed with all your storage solutions, like the rotating rack in the back left.

The tulips are especially lovely knowing the full story behind them and your hairdresser. Now that's going the extra mile.

Have a happy WOYWW.

I love your cake stand storage and the wondeful homely warmth your room has... must be great to scrap there.
My son had wood lice as pets lol when he was 6ish but topped it all off at 11 by bringing home a female and two male Australian Stick insects ...and then saying he wanted to incubate the eggs ....omg there were hundreds and hundreds produced in that second year ...when the female was mature...and I'm not exagerating. They die after two years ..thankfully ... and thankfully he had gone off the idea by then of doing anything with the eggs... you may have this to come lol

The tulips are beautiful, but I'm with Sam - I couldn't have them on the desk as I'd be sure to knock the vase over!

I agree with Julie, your space seems really calming, and i do love your dresser in the background, they dont seem to make furniture like that any more.

I just love your workspace; it is so beautiful. I need to find a traveling hairdresser. I just haven't had the time to get out and when I do, my dd has the car so I couldn't go any where anyway. LOL
